Installation Guide

Standard Installation · Ensure Performance

1

Select Appropriate Diameter

Choose the water meter diameter based on the pipe diameter at the installation site, and ensure the actual flow is equal to or less than the meter's rated flow (Q3).

2

Maintain Straight Pipe Section

Keep a straight pipe section of more than 10×DN before the meter and more than 5×DN after the meter (DN = meter diameter).

3

Choose Reasonable Location

Select an installation location that is easy for disassembly and meter reading. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, rain, flooding, pollution, and external magnetic interference.

4

Prevent Debris Entry

During installation (especially for new pipe sections), prevent debris such as hemp, tape, and sand from entering the meter pipeline, which may cause metering faults.

5

Proper Pipe Connection

The outlet pipe of the meter shall be at least 0.5m higher than the meter. Use a union (e.g., pipe joint, connecting nut) to connect. Do not force or twist the meter during installation to avoid damage.

6

Check Flow Direction

Ensure the water flow arrow on the meter case aligns with the actual water flow direction. Install the meter horizontally or vertically as marked on the meter dial, with the dial facing upward.

7

Prevent Hot Water Backflow

If the meter is installed at the inlet pipe of a boiler or solar water heater, prevent hot water backflow to avoid meter damage.

8

Winter Freeze Protection

During freezing periods, in addition to wrapping the meter and water pipes, close the meter's inlet valve and open the outlet drain valve/faucet when not in use to prevent meter damage from freezing expansion.
